Fargo Antiques & Repurposed Market, aka The FARM, announces its annual Christmas In July event. The month-long event features family fun, nostalgia, and, of course, holiday shopping!
While the mall’s Holiday Hayloft and several vendors offer Christmas items all year long, this event not only has more vendors offering Christmas items, but the shop’s entryway will be decorated for the holiday and the store itself filled with Christmas music. Kristi Bixby, owner of the antique mall, says, “Christmas In July has been a huge event for us the past few years. The community loves it! It’s more relaxing to shop for decorations and gifts before all the hectic holiday activities begin. And it’s fun to find unique items that aren’t at all the box stores.” Bixby also says those traveling to the area appreciate the event too. “Collectors of Christmas items collect all year ‘round - and we collectors love to go hunting for our treasures on vacations!" In addition to the holiday atmosphere and seasonal finds, there’s holiday entertainment during Christmas In July. Fargo’s own Mrs. Claus will make her annual July appearance at The FARM, handing out candy canes and posing for pictures with children. “Children really light up when they see Mrs. Claus!” says Deanna Dahlsad, the mall’s Events Coordinator. “And I think a number of parents enjoy the gentle reminder to children out of school for the Summer to behave if they want to be on the Nice List!” Fargo’s Mrs. Claus also has a lot of fun herself. “I love heading to The FARM to look for treasures and trinkets. It's never too early to start your Christmas shopping, and it's always the right time to be in the Christmas spirit!” In keeping with the Christmas spirit, the store’s Scavenger Hunt or "I Spy" sheets are holiday-themed for Christmas in July. “Not only do children like the scavenger hunts, but adults do too. Couples and groups of friends will compete for bragging rights to see who can complete the sheets first. It’s a lot of fun!” says Bixby. “Sometimes people are more than a little surprised to walk in and discover Christmas is happening in the mall in July. Maybe they think we’re a little nuts,” laughs Dahlsad, “but in no time they’re enjoying the music, feeling nostalgic for happy holiday times, and sharing their stories of elves on shelves and grandma’s ornaments.” Christmas In July at The FARM runs the entire month of July. Fargo’s Mrs. Claus will be at the antique mall on Saturday, July 15th, from 11 am until 3 pm. This event is free and open to the public. Please Note: In preparation for this event (and some deep cleaning), the mall will close early on Thursday, June 29th, at 4 pm and remain closed all day Friday, June 30th.

Our annual Spring mall-wide sale is the first weekend in June this year!

Can you believe it's been nearly 7 years since Fargo Antiques & Repurposed Market was born?! Officially, our anniversary date is October 15th, but, as many Farm Friends know, we've traditionally celebrated in September with a flea market. But as The Farm is always dropping the fresh finds and fun, we've decided to celebrate with something new: Dealer Dicker Day.
6/16/2022 1 Comment The Farm's Annual June Flea Market! Our annual June flea market is this weekend - Saturday, June 18th, and Sunday, June 19th - and this is the BIGGEST one yet!
Mall-wide sales inside & a flea market & other fun set up outside in the parking lot! There will be amazing barbecue from Puff The Magic Potbelly, the VFW Post 762 will be there selling beer, and we will have live music! Saturday, from 11am - 3pm, local favorite Smith & Loven Six String Circus will perform - and they always bring the fun! Sunday, the Bluegrass Association of North Dakota, aka B.A.N.D, returns to the Farm with a live jam starting at 1pm! In addition to some of our Farm family vendors selling outside, we also have vendors which are new to the Farm - including local artists and makers Eckoe Moore & Beyond Love & Light Work as well as vintage from Sarah’s Closet and Gatherings Collective. The only thing missing is you - so we hope to see you there! (And please do share!) Saturday, June 18th, and Sunday, June 19th. The fun starts at 10am each day & the antique mall will be open until 6 pm. Fargo Antiques & Repurposed Market is proud to present tintype portraits by artist Kary Janousek of Old School Collodion. 2/22/2022 0 Comments Antique Mall Junkin' Scavengers! As we mentioned in our last newsletter, The FARM is now offering Scavenger Hunt or "I Spy" sheets. Originally intended to keep little ones entertained while adults shop, it turns out these scavenger hunts are fun for folks of all ages! Moms, dads, grandparents - everyone seems to love the junk hunt!
In the Corner Market at the front of the store, you'll find clipboards with sheets listing items to find in the shop. Simply fill in the blanks with the booth or case numbers where you find the listed items. When the completed sheet is turned in at the desk, successful hunters will receive a free sticker with Kit, The Farm Raccoon, on it! (The FARM pencil is yours to keep just for trying!) While we began this, it was, of course, focused on a Valentine's Day theme - but we've plenty of other sheets available too. So if you've already done the one on a clipboard, just ask for a different version. Let's keep the junk scavenging fun! Fargo Antiques & Repurposed Market, aka The FARM, mixes the past with the future this Halloween season by offering live tarot readings at the antique mall! Along with the usual antique, vintage, & historical items, there will be more unusual finds, including handmade scented “Horror Film” candles, rare Halloween blow mold figures, uranium glass, vintage x-rays, and other hard-to-find oddities. And the Holiday Hayloft will be open too. he Farm will mix the past with the future too by offering live tarot card readings from local expert Bonnie Bee. Bonnie Bee is an intuitive tarot card reader with over 40 years of experience. Her clairsentient ability was passed down to her through her mother, who was also a tarot card reader. A five-card tarot spread reading with Bonnie Bee will be just $10. The Halloween festivities begin on October 21st, Thursday night, at 5:30 pm, with a special seasonal shopping atmosphere created with special lighting.
Kristi Bixby, the owner of the antique mall, says, “When the overhead lights are off in the building, the antique mall has an almost magical ambiance from the glow of lights in the individual booths. Halloween season is the perfect time to showcase such a mood." On Saturday, October 23rd, Bonnie Bee will return to offer more tarot readings from noon until 4 pm. We hope you'll stop in for a spell! This weekend is our annual Fall Flea Market - and it's also a celebration of the antique mall's 6th anniversary in October!
Kristi Bixby, owner of the antique mall, says, “We have been blessed to survive this many years, despite road construction, pandemic shutdowns, and everything else due to the support of our local community. We are so thankful to have also been voted the Best Antique Mall in the Red River Valley in 2020." This annual fall event brings numerous buyers to the antique mall’s parking lot which is full of vendors selling vintage furniture, antique crocks, collectible retro toys, local pottery, vintage vinyl, rustic farm house items, repurposed furnishings, mid-century modern decor, and other vintage wares. Along with the booths outside, all the vendors inside the antique mall will be having sales as well. The Holiday Hayloft and Tool Shed have been restocked with fresh items - which will also be on sale. As always, The FARM includes local non-profit organizations in this public event. "The FARM values being an active member of the Fargo-Moorhead community. Along with supporting all the small local businesses under our roof, we are proud to support local non-profit organizations who serve our Red River Valley,” says Bixby. The Bluegrass Association of North Dakota (B.A.N.D.), a local nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of bluegrass music in North Dakota, will be in attendance both days of the flea market performing live jam sessions on Saturday and Sunday from noon until 4 pm. Proceeds from food sales will benefit Downtown Fargo's VFW Post 762. Both organizations will be accepting donations. The FARM’s Annual Fall Flea Market runs Saturday & Sunday, September 18th & 19th, from 10 am until 5 pm. This event is free and open to the public. Come celebrate with us!! 11/19/2020 0 Comments The FARM's Annual Holiday Open House!Things are a little different this year - but we are still going to have our annual holiday event at Fargo Antiques & Repurposed Market!
